About Alderwood Softball

We are located in Alderwood, a district of Toronto. We have been around since 1949, over sixty-five years and have been the home for many children in Etobicoke to play softball.

2013 ASA 65 years serving the comunity

Closing down the league after 64 years

The 2012 executive after their AGM had not been able to obtain anyone to preserve the League. ASA closed its doors after two attempts in October to form any softball for 2013. It was put into a hiatus for 2013. The committee that followed determined that the league being closed for one year would not result in a future for Alderwood Softball in 2013 or any time after.

The Re-Birth

A small group came together to keeping this fantastic league alive and formed an Executive for the future of 2013. John Griffiths stepped up to the plate as the new President and with Derek Morton as Vice President forming a eight person executive group to lead the league forward for the benefit of all children of Alderwood and its surrounding areas.
