2007 Timeline
In the years to follow Alderwood would drop the Rookie division and combine it with the T-Ball and Mites. Many new young families moved into the area and it was at their request for the 3yr old to be part of the T-Ball division. As of 2011 there will be at least 10 or more playing ball and learning the fundamentals of softball.
T-Ball now is 3yr old to 6yr old.
Mites 7-9yr old,
Squirts 10-12yr old
Peewee 13-17yr old
Out of three or four teams of peewees the average age is 14-15yr old. It was expanded to include the 17 yr old as a last chance to play non competitive softball in our Association. There would be only two or three players of this age each year that would join.
Giving back to Alderwood!
2007 would see former players returning to become coaches in T-ball. Some of the current Peewee players were getting involved in helping coaches with team practices for younger players. Our ball caps come off to all these young volunteers for helping making Alderwood a fun place to be in the summer.
2007 Executive
This group would remain up till 2012 after serving for the past two years, a seven year home run. This gang would make many great changes to lead Alderwood through its 60th year of softball in 2009.
